Miss Erika

Miss Erika has been learning karate for 9 years and is currently a junior black belt with a brown stripe. Miss Erika started because she saw how much fun her cousin was having while he was in karate.  So she wanted to try it our for herself.  The first day of class, she was shy and kind of afraid of Sensei Becky.  But she loved every class she went to.  Miss Erika joined leadership because she was asked to.  She thought if she was asked then Sensei Guignet and Sensei Becky must think that she can do it, so she did. Miss Erika also wanted to give back what she learned to the younger kids so they understand what they need to do.  Miss Erika's goal for karate is getting her black belt and higher and learning life lessons and how to protect herself. 

Miss Erika is currently a senior at Catasauqua High School where she plays softball and is involved in Varsity "C" Club and German Club.  Her future goals are to attend either Texas A&M University or the University of Texas where she would like to study marine biology or sports management.
