Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is the eightfold path of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. It is more
vigorous than most other styles of Yoga. Ashtanga is the practice of Yoga that
combines breath control and a flow of sequential postures. The breath is used
to synchronize each movement.
The primary series of Ashtanga Yoga prepares the body for meditation through
breath and rehabilitates injuries or weak areas of the body. As the internal
heat goes up toxins begin to exit the system.
