Rodney Guignet - Master Instructor, USA Boxing Coach
Rodney Guignet is the co-owner of the LVIRK Training Center operated by Lehigh
Valley Isshin Ryu Karate, Inc. He received his Fifth Degree Black Belt in
Isshin Ryu Karate in August 2004. Renshi Guignet is a member of the Okinawan
Isshin Ryu Karate and Kobudo Association (OIKKA), the International Association
of Martial Artists (IAMA), and the National Association of Professional Martial
Artists (NAPMA). He is a certified USA Boxing coach.
Renshi Guignet currently teaches Lil' Dragon Karate, Youth and Adult Isshin Ryu
Karate, Karate Weapons, Xtreme Martial Arts (XMA), and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
classes at Lehigh Valley Isshin Ryu Karate, Inc. He has taught Isshin Ryu Karate
for over 16 years. In 2002, he received the IAMA Instructor of the Year Award.
Renshi Guignet has also been a summer camp counselor for a year and has worked
with children in after school programs for 3 years.
Renshi Guignet has trained in various forms of martial arts and has a strong
Greco-Roman wrestling background. Over the years, he has studied with many noted
martial artists, including Grand Master Angi Uezu, Shihan Gary Alexander, Hanshi N. Morgan Woods,
Master Tsuyoshi Uechi, Master John Devine, Kyoshi Dayne Walz, Renshi Ray Salapka,
and Sensei Anthony Fiorino. He has attended camps of some of the area's
wrestling legends, such as Gene Mills and Bobby Weaver. Renshi Guignet has
also attended a Muay Thai seminar taught by 7 time Muay Thai World Champion
"Cruncher" Coban Lookchaomaesaitong.
Renshi Guignet has recently been featured on Workout Wednesdays with Meredith
Allan on CNN Headline News Local Edition.
Renshi Guignet's background also includes a certificate in Ornamental Nursery
Management from Pennsylvania State University. Renshi Guignet specializes in
Oriental gardens and ponds - Koi ponds, cobblestone and paver walks, stone and
block walls, and Bonsia plants.
Renshi Guignet's mission is to help all his students to find "Excellence In
Themselves" through the study of the Martial Arts. One attains excellence in
themselves by believing that they can achieve anything that they put their

Rebecca Pizzolatto - Karate & Self-Defense Instructor
Rebecca Pizzolatto is the co-owner of the LVIRK Training Center operated by
Lehigh Valley Isshin Ryu Karate, Inc. She received her Third Degree Black Belt
in Isshin Ryu Karate in October 2006. Sensei Becky is a member of the Okinawan
Isshin Ryu Karate and Kobudo Association (OIKKA), the International Association
of Martial Artists (IAMA), and the National Association of Professional Martial
Artists (NAPMA).
Sensei Becky has studied Isshin Ryu Karate for over 8 years and has been teaching
for over 3 years. She received the 2003 Okinawan Karate Kai Instructor of the Year
Award and the 2004 IAMA Instructor of the Year Award. She also has completed the
Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) Training for women. She currently teaches Youth
and Adult Isshin Ryu Karate and Karate Weapons classes at Lehigh Valley Isshin Ryu
Karate, Inc. Over the years, she has studied with many noted martial artists,
including Grand Master Angi Uezu, Shihan Gary Alexander, Hanshi N. Morgan
Woods, Master Tsuyoshi Uechi, Master John Devine, Kyoshi Dayne Walz, and
Renshi Rodney Guignet.
Sensei Becky's background also includes a B.S. in Chemistry, Mathematics, and
Computer Science from Desales University (formerly, Allentown College of Saint
Francis de Sales) and an M.S. in Chemistry from Lehigh University. Sensei Becky
worked as a web programmer for Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. for four and a half
years. She taught Web Design & Web Programming at Lehigh Career and
Technical Institute during the 2004-2005 school year. Currently, she is the
Senior Web Designer & Developer for
Bushido Enterprises, Inc.
Sensei Becky's goal is to help others, especially other women, realize the
excitement and benefits of martial arts training. She wants to help every
student attain their goals in martial arts and in life.
