Rodney Guignet - Master Instructor, USA Boxing Coach
Rodney Guignet is the co-owner of the LVIRK Training Center operated by Lehigh
Valley Isshin Ryu Karate, Inc. He received his Fifth Degree Black Belt in
Isshin Ryu Karate in August 2004. Renshi Guignet is a member of the Okinawan
Isshin Ryu Karate and Kobudo Association (OIKKA), the International Association
of Martial Artists (IAMA), and the National Association of Professional Martial
Artists (NAPMA). He is a certified USA Boxing coach.
Renshi Guignet currently teaches Lil' Dragon Karate, Youth and Adult Isshin Ryu
Karate, Karate Weapons, Xtreme Martial Arts (XMA), and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
classes at Lehigh Valley Isshin Ryu Karate, Inc. He has taught Isshin Ryu Karate
for over 16 years. In 2002, he received the IAMA Instructor of the Year Award.
Renshi Guignet has also been a summer camp counselor for a year and has worked
with children in after school programs for 3 years.
Renshi Guignet has trained in various forms of martial arts and has a strong
Greco-Roman wrestling background. Over the years, he has studied with many noted
martial artists, including Grand Master Angi Uezu, Shihan Gary Alexander, Hanshi N. Morgan Woods,
Master Tsuyoshi Uechi, Master John Devine, Kyoshi Dayne Walz, Renshi Ray Salapka,
and Sensei Anthony Fiorino. He has attended camps of some of the area's
wrestling legends, such as Gene Mills and Bobby Weaver. Renshi Guignet has
also attended a Muay Thai seminar taught by 7 time Muay Thai World Champion
"Cruncher" Coban Lookchaomaesaitong.
Renshi Guignet has recently been featured on Workout Wednesdays with Meredith
Allan on CNN Headline News Local Edition.
Renshi Guignet's background also includes a certificate in Ornamental Nursery
Management from Pennsylvania State University. Renshi Guignet specializes in
Oriental gardens and ponds - Koi ponds, cobblestone and paver walks, stone and
block walls, and Bonsia plants.
Renshi Guignet's mission is to help all his students to find "Excellence In
Themselves" through the study of the Martial Arts. One attains excellence in
themselves by believing that they can achieve anything that they put their
whole heart and soul into. They will find "The Way" to deal with home, school,

Allen Davis - Boxing Trainer, Personal Trainer, Masseur
Allen Davis received a Liberal Arts (Business Option) degree
from Pennsylvania State University.
He also received his Advanced Business Certification from Lehigh University.
Allen studied Massage Therapy at Health Options Institute and
Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy.
He received an Integrated Medicine/Master Bodywork Certification
from Harcum College.
He is a certified boxing trainer through USA Boxing.
Allen has several years of experience as a Fitness Director,
Corporate Sales Manager, and Fitness Instructor.
Allen has also worked with the Philadelphia Eagles for Promotional & Marketing shows.
He had an internship at Villanova University in therapy work with the football team,
women’s basketball and several members of the softball and baseball teams.
Allen has many impressive athletic accomplishments.
He ranked 2nd in High School Cross Country Championships.
Allen was a member of Team USA Powerlifting in 1992, 1994, 1996, & 1998.
Allen ranked 2nd nationally in the 242 lb. class in 2000
(Bench: 600; Dead lift: 815; Squat: 805).
He ranked in the Top 10 several times in Powerlifting USA Magazine World Rankings
and has appeared in the Top 100 several times as well.
He was a 3-time National Champion, NASA Junior National Champion,
and Silver and Bronze medalist at World Championships in Dead lift.
Among his accomplishments, Allen has also worked with many notable
athletes and celebrities, including top professional boxer Bernard Hopkins
and up & coming light heavy weight & cruiser weight David Hamilton.
Allen is currently working with Bernard Hopkins for his upcoming June 10, 2006
title bout with Antonio Tarver in Atlantic City, NJ.
He has worked with titleholders Yusef Mack & Lajuan Simmons.
Allen has worked and trained with WWE Wrestler Battista.
He worked with Julius Erving (son of the 76ers’ Dr. J.),
who owns J Management that represents Eve, Fat Joe, & Mario to name a few.
He has also worked with the son of R&B songstress and author Patti Labelle.
Allen has worked with heavyweight Ron McCarthy, who has sparred the likes of
Michael Spinks, Riddick Bowe, Mike Tyson and many other top fighters.
Ron is currently training for a fight and his son Stacey is being courted by the Indy Colts.
Allen’s cousin, former Pittsburgh Steelers Yancey Thigpen and
Tennessee Titan, reached the Super Bowl with two different teams.
Yancey holds the Pro-Bowl record for longest TD catch of
99 yards.
